KS1 Class Teacher

By Brook Valley C of E Primary School are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher to join their successful and highly motivated staff team.  They are happy to accept applications from NQT’s or more experienced main scale teachers.

 The successful applicant will need:

• To really enjoy teaching – matching rigor with engaging, fun activities
• A good understanding of progression in the English and Maths curriculum.
• Be able to demonstrate the use of questioning to enhance learning.
• Have an excellent knowledge of phonics and how to develop phonic skills in children (KS1).
• Have high expectations for children across the curriculum.
• Know how to plan topics to stimulate and engage children’s’ curiosity
• Know how to assess learning and plan challenging next steps for all learners.
• Be a self-reflective practitioner who strives for continuous improvement in their teaching skills
• Have a good working relationship with colleagues, governors and parents

 Salary Range: £23,720.00- £34,665.00 (M1-6)
