Specialist Leader of Education - Emma Holland

I am currently Deputy Head in a school in South West Bristol. I have taught in both key stage one and two, including year 6 and year 2 and lead key stage one, including the transition from EYFS and KS1. I have experience of raising pupil progress and attainment throughout the whole school, including disadvantaged pupils.
I have successfully worked alongside underperforming, experienced and newly qualified teachers to improve the quality of their teaching; through in-class support, team-teaching, coaching, planning and reviewing, alongside moderation and assessment. I enjoy inspiring and empowering others, with a robust toolkit to become outstanding teachers and leaders.
As a Senior Leader, I had a direct impact on the journey my school made from ‘requires improvement’ to ‘good.’ I am a strategic thinker, having lead on whole school planning as well as reviewing the impact of interventions and the Pupil Premium budget.
My SLE specialisms are:
- Teaching and Learning
- Key Stage One
- Year 6 and Year 2 SATs including moderation
- Coaching and supporting members of a team
- Phonics
- Assessment and Moderation
- EYFS to KS1 transition
- Computing Subject Lead
- Pupil Premium and intervention
